I was concerned with some of the negative reviews here, BUT... I got this anyway, AND... This stuff seems GREAT. So here is the method to the madness: I was using it on an old farm running gear that had been in the ding weeds for eons. Get the barnacle rust off. Do not grind down to bare metal. Just steel brush it to get scale off. This product converted all solid surface rust to a hard black enamel within minutes to hours. It goes on easy like milk. Put it on with a brush. Coat evenly. DO NOT put left over product back into bottle as it will compromise the remainder. Use whatever you pour out. I painted over it a few days later with industrial oil enamel by brush. Looks brand new. ALSO, do not leave whatever you are working on out in the rain. It will turn back to white until it cures again. But that's a NO brainer to most of us. Not sure how long it lasts...? But I'm guessing I won't have to do this again for many years from the looks of how well it worked and how hard it made the surface rust. I used it on the rims too. Perfect outcome so far.
