I have owned many different types of phone holders. This by far the best. Every one I previously owned eventually will fall off. Whether it's from the heat on the suction cups inadvertently bump it, or hit a bump on the road they all fall of. This one is all very mechanically smooth to close and a one button releases it nice and smooth. This is held on using the vent fins on your dash. It stands out away from the vents, so it doesn't block the vents. This will stay locked on your vent when you hit a bump on the road. This is pot hole season in Ohio and my old one I replaced would have fell off at least once a day. This one stays securely on.
