I bought the SM Chug Sports Lid for my 16 oz. Hydro Flask (HF) wide mouth. Have been using HF for about a year, and during that time it has ALWAYS leaked. No matter how tight I screwed the lid down, it still leaked from the actual flip lid itself. It says on the the HF website that the lids are NOT leakproof, but I've never had such a leaky lid on ANY water bottle I've owned over the past 15 years. I finally got fed up enough that I started doing some research and found the SM Chug Sports lid. Seemed like everything I was looking for, so I made the purchase. It arrived about a week ago, so my initial week of everyday use has been great. I mean, honestly, it's just a lid, but for some reason the design is so simple yet hits so many needs compared to what I was dealing with on the original lid. The addition of the handle to hang it or grab it easily makes it much easier to handle when you're carrying a bunch of items in your hand or transferring from place to place. The insulated lid is a clear nicety, but the part that I didn't really get from the description, which has been the nicest surprise is that the chug top not only flips down, but also screws down directly into the sip spout to ensure water tightness. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with it as it resolved all of the things I was looking for in a lid, plus more, while also bringing new life into the HF bottle that I love so much.
