I will try to be as brief as possible. This was the last of four items that I tried to rid my stomach of Candida overgrowth. Since I was about to take a plane trip in one week and did not have time to wait on the US Post Office, I needed a fast answer on what worked on my system and how it worked. I wound up getting a competitor's version near my home that has twice the strength of these 600 mg capsules, and I did take two of them for 2472 mg total. Three hours later the eviction notice was delivered to some of my Candida overgrowth. I might as well mention the other three items that I tried, which also showed slow and gentle results. They are: 1) coconut oil capsules, 2) Kyolic aged garlic extract capsules, and 3) Probiotics Pearls. Since I was taking all four of these items, the eviction notice may have been a results of caprylic acid combining with any of the other three, which is why I mentioned it. A fifth "home remedy" may have assisted, but I doubt it, and that was about 8 ounces of straight 120 proof bourbon the night before (which never gave me that kind of reaction before). Needless to say, I spent a lot of research to find these items and came across a lot of unscrupulous websites that are out to make a lot of money on our misery. With that in mind, I will reveal the whole simple truth! All of us got Candida overgrowth by taking antibiotics without yogurt. This created a friendly environment for Candida in the stomach, which manifests itself as rashes and yeast infections elsewhere in the body similar to mushrooms sprouting up in a fairy ring on lawns overnight. The center of the problem is in the gut. Now that you invited Candida to reside in you, you then feed it with it's favorite food of yeast and sugar, which includes beer, wine, pastries, and breads. Your Candida loves you, yet turns your life into a living hell. So what do you do? The first step is to stop feeding it and create a hostile environment for it to live! No more beer or wine or pastries until it is gone! And reinvite your old friends called good bacteria back with yogurt or probiotics supplements. Since this may not be enough, there are all sorts of compounds available that will create a hostile environment for Candida. Some of these may not work for all, and each one of us has our own tolerance levels as to how much hostility we can introduce without harming ourselves even more. This is why many supplements to rid Candida will have a long list of ingredients. All of them work, but differently for each of us. So why on earth did I drink straight 120 proof bourbon the night before even if I said that wine and beer are foods that Candida loves? This is because one of the 57 toxins that Candida produce as waste products when they die off is alcohol, albeit low percentage. As we all know, no animal likes to live near it's own waste, so I figured why not bombard it with high proof "waste", as much as I can stand straight with no chaser. Maybe I wasted it! It will get the message that it is not wanted. By the way, the most powerful combatant of all is Nystatin, which causes the Candida to explode. However, it is mostly sold as a topical solution to treat symptoms, but not the root cause. Most of us could not handle taking it orally and I certainly won't because of the intense "die-off" phase.
