Color Review! Birch, Oyster, Oatmeal
Getting the colors right in a room is tough! Which is why I basically ordered one panel of every color. The seller does have an option to order samples, but they only had samples of some colors available. We haven't hung them yet, so I can't say much for length. We have 9 ft ceilings, but the top of our windows are over 2 ft away from the ceiling so I'll likely go with the 96" panels, though I wish there was a middle length between that and the 108". If my windows came closer to the ceiling I would hanvthe rod much higher and go with the longer panel. I thought these photos might help someone with the color - a few reviewers said that Oyster had blue tones while Birch had pink tones. I wouldn't totally disagree, but I'd say that that's a stretch with Oyster being blue-ish. My walls are Alabaster by Sherwin Williams, which is a warmer off-white. Without any other white next to the walls, they just look like a clean white. With Oyster next to the wall, it is a bit confusing to your eye since they're both white but look very different from each other. Oyster is a cool white, so it almost looks *slightly* gray with my walls? Out of the box, my first impression was that Oyster was way too bright of a white. I've since changed my mind and put it back in the running because it goes well with my gray couches. Birch might be a bit too "pink" for me, but I do still like the color a lot. I definitely see what people mean about saying it can pull pink. I think it really comes down to what else you have in the room and how it compliments that. But yes, with the sun hitting it, it for sure looks like it's dancing around faint pink undertones. Oatmeal is a beautiful color. I'm not sure it will work with my gray furniture since it has more brown in it. Something with more charcoal rather than brown would work better with my gray furniture. Hope this helps!
