I was looking for a nice, rugged stainless steel coffee pot that I could take camping. All the other products I looked at had a glass window at the top, and I was afraid it would get broken. Also, the reviews for these other products stated the percolators didn't work correctly or the finish (if ceramic) would chip and rust. When I noticed this product, I liked that it was a solid, all stainless steal design, and that it didn't use filters. Unfortunately, since the pitcher is double-walled, it is not to be used on a stove top. However, this design does keep your coffee warm longer and there's little risk of burning yourself. You must heat the water before adding it to the pitcher and mixing in the coffee grounds. I use Folger's Black Silk coffee grounds, and I didn't have an issue pressing the grounds or hot water being forced out. This product is simple to disassemble/reassemble, so cleaning it is easy. At this time, I don't have a use for the grounds container. Overall, I give this product 5 stars and highly recommend it to others. I would like to see this company design a similar product that is more suitable to the outdoors (can be used over a campfire). Until then, this is the one I'll bring along.
