I called First Saturday Lime's customer service number on the bag because I had a few concerns & questions on application. The owner answered the phone herself. She explained that she & her sister own this company from their family, and she couldn't have been more friendly, knowledgable, helpful & informative. I have since used this product many times, and my chicken coop & run is smell free & not many flies. A huge plus to me is the safety of this product for my flock - which makes me feel good using it. First Saturday Lime is approved for organic gardens, it's not dangerous to apply - even with the chickens running around, it's safe if they eat it after I spread it around, or it floats into their water... and well - I just REALLY like that it's safe for all my pets & children. I have also used First Saturday Lime - to make a lime wash -for my coop & nesting boxes, and it worked really well! It keeps bugs away... and I like that it's a safe, preventative measure against mites & lice & bad things like that. I am VERY happy with this product and will DEFINITELY use this again, and again - and would recommend it to anyone who has chickens or horses, etc. It's a marvelous ammonia/smell reducer & insect repellant. I've found it safe, effective & all around - fantastic.
