This lamp...oh this lamp. Well when I received it, it came in two separate boxes. But that was the least of my problems. I had to COMPLETELY assemble this lamp myself, that of which, I was unaware. I quickly read over the directions because, let's be real, I'm a woman and i dont take directions well anyways. So i looked at the just pictures and decided to put it together right then and there. I pulled all the pieces out of their stupid little plastic bags and spewed a few curse words. I was off to a great start. So, you get 6 pieces of the legs and have to assemble them together to make three legs of the lamp. This my friends, I found to be a challenge. First I kept trying to stick two screws into both ends (in hind sight I get that makes zero sense) don't do this. You stick the sockets in one end and screw the screws into the other end. Also PLEASE note, there is a top end and a bottom end, I screwed two bottom pieces together and at first had assembled my very own handicap lamp! That didn't work out well though...so i had to undo all of that disaster, then reassemble correctly. Also the lamp shade is velcro, you have to do this sort of pinwheel sort of thing to put that together, let's just say that took me a few tries. Apparently I could assemble it the wrong way, more than once, even though it's a 50/50 shot. At this point I was questioning my capabilities as a human but also was determined to persevere because this was clearly going to be a beautiful lamp. FINALLY I got it assembled, and I have to say it is a gorgeous lamp, well worth the money. Plus I though I was buying just a lamp, but no, I was also buying self reassurance in the fact that if I am ever alone in the wild, left to my own defenses....I will surely die. -Michelle Elisabeth
