"but who cares, no big deal, I want mooooooooore!" REVIEW OF GIG RED & TASSLE PURPLE (71 X 35.5) These blanket tails channeled my inner little mermaid. I'll Just comb my hair with a fork already, I'm so pleased! FYI Material, fin size, tightness of blanket differ between colors: After scouring helpful customer photos (passing it on by posting my own), I bought the "gig red" based off of the thick knit and beautiful large fun. I made a mistake, red was too tight and uncomfortable. I'm not a big girl by any means, but I felt like the blanket was skin tight and def not enough room to be comfortable lying down or walk (to the fridge). I have to admit I loved all of the colors at first click, so I bought 4: red, scale purple, blue/purple, blue. I've kept the scale purple for myself and the rest are gifts I've yet to give (and try too when they open it). The scale purple with tassels is absolutely gorgeous, with bright pink and purple fabric, and the scales are plushy. I was afraid of getting a thin blanket, but both the "gig red" and "purple tassle" were weighty and thick, the knit on the red is a heavier weight but the "sizing" was too snug and constricting. The red fin wasn't as pretty or shapely as I thought it would be. Based off of the sizing issue I decided to return. Big fins up to prime! The scale purple tassle fin is a lighter weight fabric but still soft and knitted, not thin at all. I can lounge in and walk in this one comfortably and there is plenty of room to feel blanketed. I'm 5'7-5'8 and I can probably cover my toes to my chin/mid face , although I haven't tried. Like other reviews have mentioned, the back of the blanket is slotted so any body type can fit, and the bottom of the blanket is open to pull your feet through if you want to get up. I've noticed small peices of lint here and there on the floor, maybe nothing a good wash won't fix. The textured scales and fin shape are very mermaid like and beautiful. I love this whimsical blanket and I can't wait to give them as gifts. I've found that laghcat is very responsive in answering questions and are lower in price compared to other vendors. The mermaid charm necklace is a great addition. Will update on fabric quality and fin size on blue/ purple and blue. If you love mermaids don't hesitate to buy it or give it as gifts, definitely puts a smile on my face whenever I use it.
