Great results in my cargo trailer, but a few tricks make it much easier!
I used this to paint the floor, ramp and 18" up the walls of a 6x12 cargo trailer. Two kits was just right, with a little left over in each bucket. Very happy with the final results, but have some suggestions to help you avoid some of the issues I ran into: 1) Toss the included foam rollers in the garbage and order one or two Dupli-Color TRC104 Truck Bed Coating Replacement Roller Cover - 1 each - 0.25 oz.. The foam rollers pack up with rubber bits and become worthless after about 15-20 minutes of use. I bought two kits and went through three of the foam rollers on my first coat, and was not happy with the results of the first coat. I then went to the local auto parts store and got the Dupli Color roller and did the entire second coat with it...and it was still in great condition. If you stored the roller in a gallon-sized zip lock bag with a splash of Xylene between your first and second coat, you could probably get away with using a single roller for the whole job. 2) Buy a 7" sturdy plastic or metal paint tray (not a liner). I used one from the local Big Box store that didn't have the drain channels down the middle. All of the ones I've seen on Amazon have them...I have heard that paint just accumulates in the channels and is wasted. YMMV... 3) Buy a can of Klean-Strip QXY24 Xylol Xylene, 1-Quart. Do not use Alcohol, Acetone or mineral spirits. This is per the instruction manual. Alcohol or Acetone can ONLY be used for cleanup, whereas Xylene can also be used to thin the bed liner and works great for cleanup as well. Add a splash of it to the roller and pan just before you refill it to keep the pan and roller from tacking up. Also about every other pan refill, add a splash to the can of unused bed liner to keep it from thickening up (every time you open it, some evaporates). When I say splash, I'm talking about maybe a tablespoon-ish. Also, in case it wasn't obvious, keep the lid on the bucket between pan fills to reduce evaporation and moisture absorption. Also, be sure to stir the bucket well before each time you pour out some, since the rubber bits settle to the bottom slowly. 4) Last but certainly not least, buy an Organic Vapor Blocking Respirator: 3M Paint Project Respirator, Large. The Xylene vapors are nasty.
