I've owned this product for two months now. I bought this at Best Buy for almost $100 less than what was being sold on Amazon. It would be in your best interest to shop around before clicking and buying. For those new to the car stereo aftermarket, you'll still need a wiring harness and a mounting kit. You may also want to set aside money for a backup camera if your vehicle doesn't already have one. They can be a nuisance to install. I had to run wires from the back of my full size pickup, underneath the frame, through the firewall, and into the stereo harness, but totally worth it in the long run. I bought this stereo because I wanted a double DIN that was new technology, under $700, offered Apple Car Play, and backup camera support. This met my intent in every way. I installed it myself. I've installed stereos in the past and they aren't that hard, but it is time consuming. And you will need to purchase a few tools to satisfy the install, like a wire cutter/crimper, a soldering gun, and some heat shrink. Or you can fork out $100 plus for a professional install and have peace of mind. The stereo works flawlessly. Don't quote me, but boot time is around 7-8 seconds going from memory. This is a step up from older double din stereos that took longer. Apple car play works fine, given you have an iPhone. You get hands free calling, hands free SMS, Apple maps, Pandora, iTunes music playback, podcast support, and a few more apps I don't use. I've never watched a video on my stereo, simply because I don't desire to. But the option is supposedly there, but not through Apple car play. The stereo has HD radio which is nice. The backup camera kicks on automatically when the vehicle is put in reverse so long as everything is wired correctly. There's also the option of running a second camera, like on the front bumper of the vehicle. The driver has the option of manually flipping between the two. Of note, I had to go back into my wiring harness after install and fix the reverse camera setting as it wasn't automatically turning the camera screen on when I went into reverse. Take note that you cannot use Google Maps through this stereo using an iPhone. It only works on android phones. iPhone users must use Apple maps which may be a let down for some. Screen is beautiful. After two months, I haven't observed any faults. The screen brightness during sunlight is fine. Of note, if you turn your headlights on during the day, the screen dims because it thinks it's night time. However, the user can go in and manually change the settings so it doesn't do this. I know my thoughts were all over the place on this review but i hope it was helpful to someone out there.
