Eat or die
This is definitely the best hungry shark app and well worth the more than 100MB it eats.
It differs from the others insofar as there are many goals and you have a clear path to progress which is far better than just eating. There also are many features and surprises you find out while playing - try to eat a swimmer while jumping or enter an underground cavern past the mines and you know what I mean.
You can progress very well without paying real money as long as you explore as far as possible - I recommend to spend the first gold on speed because the shark is very sluggish at first, even with maximum control sensitivity.
About the only thing I dislike is that it says 3D - okay, the shark and the sea have some depth but you still can only maneuver in 2 dimensions - left/right and up/down.
Pssst - the best treasure is deep down ;)
