I have a lot of cookbooks and don't necessarily need another one, but if this is one way that I can show a little support for Paula Deen, then it is time and money well spent. Please understand my support is in no way in regards to what word she may have used or how she used it, but for the fact she finds herself in a media storm and in a position to lose a great deal of money due to "political correctness." She took the high road and answered a question honestly and because of that has been labeled by many as a racist that should be punished and made an example of for all to see. I admire her honesty and her response to the situation and wish her success. I have canceled my subscription to the Food Network magizine and have no intention of ever buying products by Smithfield Foods again. Last time I checked freedom of speech was still protected by the United States Constitution and if people don't like what I have to say then they are free to disagree or not listen, otherwise I have no problem letting them know exactly what they can do with their buttered biscuit!
