Nearing my eighth decade, my hearing is not what it was in the past. Dialog coming from the small speakers built in to my flat screen have been barely adequate, esp. when watching British shows, where the accents only complicate matters. For a couple years, I researched sound bars but most were a little bigger than I wished and it was unclear how good they would be with dialog anyway. I saw an ad for the AccuVoice in the WSJ and decided to try it, since its entire function is to enhance dialog. I am quite pleased with the improvement and set-up was easy. Plus, the modest size is ideal for our TV setting, making it rather unobstrusive. I'm glad I finally acted, and can recommend this unit to anyone with impaired hearing.
