I am a dental hygienist and have recommended the prescription level fluoride version for many years. I personally use it every night. It is particularly beneficial for patients with dry mouth, due to the tricalcium phosphate, which is secreted in saliva and helps remineralize teeth. I recommend it with a dry brush and not rinsing afterwards. For all the comments about fluoride amount, know that fluoride alone will not reduce cavity risk! The two ingredients together are the key.
