Wow! Magnificent waffles (and I've tasted my share) first time off the volley. How, you may ask, those 1-2 star reviewers? Oil the waffler lightly before the pre-heat. They're right, there is NO such thing as a completely stick-free waffler out there. And for those of you in love with teflon, good luck achieving the light crisp crunch exterior that yields to a light fluffy interior possible with this waffler. Waffle afficionados told me I had to find an old non-teflon waffler on e-bay or at a flea market. Imagine my surprise to run into this at a nearby kitchen supply store. Good thing I had not read the Amazon reviews, I might have been scared off. So make their suggested batter, lightly oil, pre-heat, pour batter and 3 minutes later--the BEST waffles out there.
