What I was looking for was a not-expensive fan that would cool down my bedroom at night, while providing white noise and a nice breeze. What I got was exactly that! I knew I wasn’t in for an expensive fan with super quiet settings and a remote that will make you lemonade when you push the right button. It seems like many of the negative reviews on this fan had higher expectations than what this product actually is. It’s fairly quiet on the lowest setting, so if you’re looking for that quiet breeze then you could just use the lowest setting. It’s not blaringly loud though either. I turn it on and am still able to watch Netflix or TV before I fall asleep without having the TV too loud. The fan doesn’t wake me up at all during the night. As the product description states, there are three settings for this fan. And yes, the controls are situated on the back of the box fan. That is a little strange, but once you get used to it, it’s nothing. It will take you all of two days to get used to it, if not less. Our air conditioner is located in our living room and this fan is strong enough to pull the cool air in from the main part of the apartment and blow it into the bedroom, which has made it so much more comfortable than before when we had no fan to cool us off at night! The kitty even seems to enjoy lying in the breeze. The only negative thing about this fan is that it doesn’t have a handle on the top to move it. You have to use both hands and pick it up on the sides (if it’s on) to move it, otherwise you’ll be hurting your fingers. I guess it’s just the lazy side of me that only wants to use one hand to move the fan, it’s a simple luxury. Other than that one thing, I am very happy with this purchase. It was inexpensive and exactly what I was looking for.
