I received this on Sept 7. Today is the 12th. still testing and learning. Also this is my first dash cam so can't rate against other cameras. I am amazed at the fact the day before I even received this I got a msg/email from Rove (Andy), with information how to contact, that they stand behind their product, and if any questions or concerns contact them. A+ for that alone. Packaging: fantastic, well protected. Start up/set up: again fantastic and easy. Suction cup: came off a couple of times so I then cleaned the glass and dampened, pressed center of knob with palm and twisted knob. It has been holding now for several days. Instruction booklet written very well and for us older folks that can't read/see the booklet there is a version on the Rove site that you can d/l...much easier on the eyes. Rove Instruction video's are just awesome! It may not be true 4k but still great clear footage. In real dark situations it takes a bit for the cam to adjust and draw from what ever light there is, but it does adjust. I hope to get some good footage on a real dark night to post. I have mainly tested on the 1080/60fps and the 4k 32fps settings. Noticed there was a glare so ordered a filter. Haven't tested it again in the day time yet with filter. Have tested at night in both those settings with filter still on and worked well. I hope to upload videos soon. I have older computer with power director pro where it does play and edit but, it's not the same formats so quality is just not there once editing. I will try and mute and make short clips so I can upload without edit. I do notice it seems to be smoother when in the 4k 32fps setting, Don't understand that as I would think more fps would be smoother. Wifi link to ipad works good but, 2 times I've had a freeze up. Once while in vehicle checking to see I could record directly to pad, the other reviewing footage and believe that time was my error. Note: dash cam does not record when put in wifi mode. Haven't tested park mode or motion detect mode yet. Something I will do as my cigar lighters have power constantly. With that to set park or motion I need to set it then manually turn off the cam. I need to find out if set that way and tripped, (since it powers up the cam), if camera will power up and continue to record and not shut back off at the set timer,, being there is power to the cam. 9.16.19 Wife was out yesterday and I reviewed some footage, it was quite shakey thought it was the road she was on. Today I went out on a road previously traveled with the cam and the footage today was shakey unlike previously. Found that the tilt knob was not tightened all the way! The video that is posted is in 4k mode using a filter. I have watched the video here and it is NO where near the quality of the actual video. I can't provide a link to the youtube video here but it is out there with much better quality.
