This dress is quite quirky, and I love it! It's delightfully bold, while still being work-appropriate for most places. I am 5'9 and normally wear a US size 6 or 8 dress, depending on the brand. A size 8 fits me almost exactly like the model; I would say the seller's size chart is pretty accurate. If you are between sizes I would recommend sizing up. I am more of a pear shape, but I still felt like the skirt was appropriately cut/sized to accommodate both larger and smaller hips, although I would probably be a little cautious if you're more than two sizes larger on bottom than top. The skirt is about midi/tea length, and the sleeves are more bracelet length than anything. I found that my arms are a little too chubby to keep the sleeves buttoned only if I flail around too much (they'll stay closed, but the button pulls enough to cause a bit of concern), but there's still plenty of room for movement otherwise and in the rest of the sleeve. One thing that is really nice is there is both a hidden side zipper and functional buttons, so the top is fitted, but not so much that actually putting it on becomes a struggle. The bow tie is quite long, so you can be lovely and extravagant. I did not think the neck was too tight or choking in any way, even with the bow tied securely. The pleats are wonderfully sharp right out of the package; I am hoping they'll stay that way over time. The fabric is a nicer medium-weight polyester, and feels soft and flowy. I let it hang for a hit before I wore it, and that was enough to get most of the wrinkles out alone. It can be pretty staticky even with a silk slip, so be aware. The fabric pattern in the picture is pretty darn close to what I received, which was genuinely a pleasant surprise! There was definitely more tan in mine, so perhaps expect the same if you purchase it. I have not yet washed it, so I cannot say how it will fare. I plan to wash on cold delicate and keep out of the dryer, just to be safe. Overall, this dress was a definite win for me. I got a lot of compliments when I wore it, and felt absolutely fabulous the whole time.
