These are the best gardening gloves I've ever owned. I used them to dig a huge pile of rocks out of dirt and mud and attached is a picture of what they look like after putting them through the wash. My hands were completely protected and I didn't have any dirt under my nails after three hours of digging. As others mention, they seem to run small, but I think it's just because they don't have a lot of stretch. I have big hands (I wear a size 9 women's shoe) and the medium fit great. They felt a little snug at first, but quickly conformed to my hands.
