Great once you figure out how to speed it up!
I bought this chromebook a couple weeks ago and I almost gave up on it. I was getting ready to return it because it was laggy on many of the sites I visited, even when I only had one or two tabs open. After much late-night Googling, I figured out why it was going slow and I fixed it. Now it's fast and efficient and I love it. Let me get this out of the way: the computer is beautiful. It's sleek and lightweight and I love the color (I bought the blue one). I was happily surprised at how it looked in real life, as it's much more vibrant and even a bit greener than the stock photos show. Super happy with the appearance and general feel of the device. Okay, so on to the slow performance. Turns out, even with 4GB of RAM, the computer is prone to slow speeds. But there's some things you can do. First, turn off the offline sync feature in Google Drive. If you have tons of files, as I do, this will use up quite a bit of RAM. Go into your Google Drive settings and uncheck offline sync. Next, check out your computer's RAM by pressing search+esc. Look at what's using up your memory. In my case, it was a couple of extensions and the Shockwave Flash plugin. Shockwave was by far the biggest hog and disabling plugins helped TREMENDOUSLY. To do this, go to your menu (top right, three little dots) and follow this path: settings-->show advanced settings-->privacy-->content settings-->plugins-->"Let me choose when to run plugin content". After doing this, my computer has performed beautifully. If extensions are eating up your memory, either disable them or uninstall them by going to the menu-->more tools-->extensions. I hope this helps other people! I was so close to returning this computer, but now that it's working, I love it.
