some tips for putting it together
I'm actually using this as a cabinet to store electronic odds and ends. I did a lot of shopping around and this pantry was excellently priced for the quality when compared with competitors.
Assembly was easier than IKEA furniture. It says do it with 2 people but I had no problem doing it alone, and I'm a 5'3 female. The shelf just isn't that big.
Some tips:
- The instructions refer to each piece by letter. The letter is printed on one of the sides of each board! This saves a lot of time
- When you're nailing on the back, it says to add 3 screws. Make sure you use the short ones!! The longer ones will push through to the other side (oops)
- It says not to use a power drill but I ended up using a low power one when attaching the doors because it was hard to reach with a screwdriver. Worked great.
- If your doors don't line up, this can be fixed pretty easily. There is a diagram in the instructions that shows you which screws to loosen on the hinges. Just loosen them a little, move the door where you want it to go and screw them back in.
