Update: Within an hour of posting an initially negative review, I was contacted by a professional and polite customer service rep. She offered to send me out a new set of markers to replace the defective ones. I was quite impressed with the level of professionalism exhibited by this company. Manufacturing errors can occur, but making sure that a customer is happy? That's the perfect situation! They did kindly note to me that the markers are not intended specifically for walls which have chalkboard paint on them. However, some of the rest of the pack of markers did work and worked well on the painted wall surface. In addition, my eldest daughter appropriated the black chalk marker for her bedroom mirror and really likes it. The price is right, and the service even better. I imagine I will be buying these again real soon. I have a lot of homeschooling to do in the fall, and plenty of story writing this summer!
