I highly recommend the Filtrete 2200 MPR filter because : (1) 2200 MPR(micro particle rating) is the highest quality AC filter 3M makes, after the new 2400 MPR. This is roughly equivalent to a MERV 14 rating. The higher the MPR, the higher the percentage of particles between 0.3 and 1 micron, captured by fliter. You can not buy this at Walmart, Home Depot, Target etc, Lowe's etc. (2)Turn your central cooling/heating system into a high-volume air purifier. $20 for a filter is much less expensive than spending $150 to $600 for a good high-volume air purifier with a 200 CADR or more. CADR is the abbreviation for Clean Air Delivery Rate. The higher the CADR, the higher the volume of air filtered. (3) My AC uses 18 inch x 18 inch. I buy the 20x30, cut the 20 inch side to 18 inch. I use it as 2 filters. (4)The filter turns light brown color after 1 week, so you know it is removing dusts from the air. (5)My sinus congestion is not as bad after 3 days of use.
