This Waterdrop G2 RO system is their latest device. I was advised by the company's customer service to wait for its arrival in January 2020. It is 2/3 the price of their lead under-sink system. It is compact and relatively easy to install. Those with a dishwasher and under sink garbage disposal may have, as I did, plumbing that's not compatible with the drain saddle included. Neither the installation manual nor their customer service operators had solutions to this challenge. I found this Universal Drain Line Adapter With 1/4 inch Quick Connect for Dishwasher and Reverse Osmosis Water Filter (RO) Sold by: AIR GAP INTERNATIONAL for $16.30. This Y shaped devise connects the 1/4" quick connect for the RO discharge line and the dishwasher discharge both line to the garbage disposal discharge connection. No need to drill into a pipe. This was the most time consuming part of the installation which took 1-1.5 hours. Water quality is good. No significant taste difference. Water flow from RO: Slow but steady. Noise from RO unit: When activated by turning on the faucet there is a distinctive motor rattle. It is a low rumble which is minimized by keeping the unit away from the cabinet wall. Overall I am satisfied with the compact design and clean water flowing , albeit slowly, from it.
