I was a little concerned when I received this item and the pole for my umbrella was about 2cm to big, but then I realized there were ring adapters in the hole. Once I removed the largest adapter, my umbrella slid right in. The base is very sturdy and has kept my umbrella standing during some pretty fierce winds a couple of weeks ago (my umbrella is a 6ft square tilting with a vented top). You will need a wrench to tighten the bolt on the underside to keep the umbrella for leaning. Hand tightening will not do the trick. Other than that, assemble took all of 5 minutes [...]
