Many reviewers already said this is a great radio. When I received my unit, the first thing I noticed is the great audio quality that comes out from its single speaker, both AM and FM. The maximum volume may not be that loud but it can surely fill a big room. Reception is great as expected. The long retractable antenna helps a lot if you receive poor FM signal. The tuning speed in the main display is fast and you can clearly see the display, which is very helpful if you want to see the time from a distance. The only cons I noticed so far is that it drains ordinary AA batteries fast so I recommend you to use good rechargeable AA batteries like the Panasonic Eneloop Pro that we use. And I will also be getting a third party adaptor because the only Sangean branded adaptor available at Amazon is for 120v AC use only. And secondly, you should always place this radio on a secure place because this of its light weight, it can immediately tumble when sideswiped. Other than that, this is a great companion when you are doing laundry, work at the office or simply enjoying coffee and listening to AM news or FM music. Will buy more of this in the future!
