Although this is a nicely made petticoat, I knocked off one star because of the sizing. With my 39" waist, I should have been able to go with the Large like the other brand I usually order. I decided to try this one because I love the Grace Karin dresses and wanted to see if their petticoats were better than my usual brand. Going by their sizing, the XL would have been better. Although it fit comfortably, the whole hip area is about 8" smaller than my other ones so it kept riding up. Since it is already a couple inches shorter than the others (not unexpected since length is stated in the listing), riding up was a real problem. It is also less full than the other brands I have purchased. I could see the difference before even taking it out of it's package. Please note that this is my personal preference, though. If you want a slightly less poofy petticoat, this will be perfect for you. Also, it comes in a nice Grace Karin Ziploc bag you can store it in between uses. It has two layers of tulle with three ruffled tiers each. Underneath is a slip made of lining fabric. To fluff it up, just pull the layers apart and shake it real good. Edit 3/12/17: I now have this in a size XL and it fits much better (albeit still a tad tight). Please note that if you have a 39"w and 47" hips, be sure to go with the XL. I also notice that the stomach area is a very nice spandex; almost like a light girdle in itself (which is probably why the size L kept riding up). A suggestion I would like to make about the fullness of this. Since it is slightly less full than other brand, you can double them up with another one of the same/coordinating/contrasting color for a fuller more fun look.
