This is my second Samsung Chromebook. I'm not going to debate or compare the Chromebook to an MS or Apple laptop, but I will report the basics of the new Samsung Chromebook 3 compared to previous models. I'm a computer geek, so sometimes I buy hardware, just for the heck of it, to test and get a feel for capabilities. I bought my first Samsung chromebook a few years ago (2012ish). I was very surprised to find out that it would turn out to be my most used device in my home (which includes 3 different ipads, a couple tablets and many MS laptops). The chromebook 3 seems no different than my original, other than 2X Ram, faster CPU and better display for the same price. It has similar overall size/weight, but feels "tougher". I like the keyboard and trackpad a tad better than the original. The battery is better than my 2012 Chromebook, but I can't yet attest to the declared 11 hour battery life. I ordered it mid Feb 2016 directly from Samsung and received it early March. My only gripe is that they shortened the power cord by a foot or two - and made the powerplug a bulky converter.
