2 DO NOT COMB IT THROUGH YOUR HAIR (this may only be an issue if you have kinky Afro texture like me); 3
This product has been part of my natural hair routine for the past year and I feel that using it (including a hard protein treatment in my hair regiment) has made a big difference in the overall strength and ability of my hair to retain length. That said this product/process is not for everyone. I do this two-step treatment to my own hair and I have learned a few tips and tricks to keeping the process safe and effective. 1. Wear latex gloves; 2 DO NOT COMB IT THROUGH YOUR HAIR (this may only be an issue if you have kinky Afro texture like me); 3. Pour it into a spray bottle and use that to apply it in sections shaking it as you go (if you try to apply it straight from he bottle, you'll be disappointed as the consistency is very close to water. Shaking it very important) 4; wash and section your hair off before the application; 5. Use a blow dryer or hooded dryer to dry the product into your hair once it has been thoroughly applied all over (your hair will shrink up and get hard like a rock. This is how the product works. Do not touch, squeeze, separate or manipulate your hair in anyway during the drying part of this process no matter how stupid or silly you might think you look) 6. Rinse it out in the shower by letting the water run freely onto your hair until it becomes limp again; 7. Follow up with the Balancing Moisturizer then deep condition with a protein-free product or cocktail.
