The first pepper grinder sent could not work as received. I returned it to Amazon. Epare sent me a replacement, asking me to use, evaluate, and write a review of the replacement. I've used it daily for a couple weeks, grinding a good coarse grind as I like it. It works very well and will have my continued daily use. For the sake of honesty I must mention two minor issues regarding the quality of the product. Issue one: I found it rather difficult to twist the cylinder off the lower portion of the grinder to access the batteries. A fair amount of hand strength was required to twist and release the cylinder. Second issue: unsnapping the battery section from the lower section also required a fair amount of hand strength. Both of these "problems" were rather minor. I take it that it is more an issue of tight manufacturing tolerances and normal use will wear down and smooth the movement. I do think, however, that someone with lesser or poor hand strength could have some difficulties installing batteries and filling the chamber. Finally, I like the grinder very much, will buy a couple more, and believe it's a very good product for the price.
