Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

First, I paid for these out of my pocket and did not receive anything for this review. I wish Amazon would reject those compensated reviews, I previously bought a set of earbuds with an excellent rating that had no bass response and were poor in general and later found the reviews were compensated or fake. I now look at the reviews like a detective looking for criminals. I can't really wear the in the ear canal earbuds. They irritate my ears. These fit in the outer ear and good ones like that are hard to find. First, the listings on Amazon makes no real difference in these two very different types, next, the type that fits in the outer ear often don't fit very well and lastly this type seldom has a good bass response. I am happy to say these fit my ears well, although your mileage may vary, I am also pleased to say that they have surprisingly good bass response for this type of headphone. They were packaged well and not too hard to open. They contain a microphone for cell phone usage and while my wife says it is better than my other set I commonly use, it isn't "studio quality." This type of microphone doesn't usually sound too well because of the location away from your mouth. There is also a single button switch and it works well enough. It can pause and move you through a playlist depending on the app you are using and the options it offers. Cons: These people will email you daily to ask for a good review. I told them to go away and play elsewhere. I was tempted to not give them a good review over the daily emails. In any case you should use something a few weeks before you review it so you have a real understanding of how it works and holds up. Reviews should be honest and useful, not the result of begging or compensation. The other thing I am not crazy about, but you might like is the cord is made of a "gummy" material. It isn't sticky like tape, but gummy like some soft gum rubbers are. You might like that, I don't much care for it, I have an ipod with a cover like that and it collects lint and trash, so I may be prejudiced. It could mean the cable will hold up and remain flexible, time will tell. To sum it up, these are the best earbuds of their type that I have found so far. If my description appeals to you I would encourage you to try them, realizing the limitations of this design, such as this style doesn't block much of the environmental noise or sounds, which if you are driving or engaged in some activity where you need situational awareness could be a good quality.
