MAY WORK BETTER ON NEWER CARS
I tried this as soon as I received it on my garaged 1983 Toyota Celica GTS. I have maintained the finish to the maximum in terms of retaining the original metallic brown-upper/lower-black paint. I used it on the worst repainted part of my vehicle, the roof/sunroof which was damaged in 1986 from a burglary/theft attempt. It did bring the shine up better than most other products used on that part of the car, and it was easily removed after dry-to-haze. I do not recommend allowing it to get on rubber trim items, like my sunroof outer gasket, since it will leave residual product around that area with minor staining of the gasket. I also used it on 1/3rd of the hood of the vehicle, which is original paint. It was hard to remove from the hood, though the hood had a very good polished shine before applying Ethos. In summary, on a garaged 'classic'vehicle, spray detailers will remain my choice for finish maintenance. They provide great shine and easy wipe-on/wipe-off. I cannot vouch for its durability, since the car only goes out on sunny days; so, my 'longevity' rating is simply 'a guess'. My 'ease-to-remove' rating is based on the two areas I used it on, a 1986 repainted roof, and an original finish 1983 hood. I will also state that in using the product as sparingly as I could, I still used half of the 8 oz bottle putting two coats on the roof and one coat on 1/3 of the hood. Not the coverage I was expecting.
