I bought this cat tree in Aug 2010 for our three cats. They love this thing and sleep on it all the time. They run up and down the platforms and hang onto the posts. The hanging toys only lasted a few months because the cats chewed the strings to get the toys loose. This has been a great purchase. The cloth material and the posts are all holding up great. I was concerned the cloth wouldn't wear as well as carpeted trees but there are no tears or bare spots anywhere after a year and half of rough-housing. The cat hair does accumulate in the corners of the platforms but I can get it out with a brush and vacuum. It still looks like new after a good vacuuming. My wife and I adopted two more kittens this past year and they have also taken up residence on it. We do have this in a corner because the cats run and jump onto it so much but I do not think they could tip it over even when they hit it mid height from a leap off the sofa. I had no trouble assembling this. The stairs didn't sit flat at first but they have since relaxed from all the cat traffic. I made sure everything was tightened well and evenly during assembly. I have only had to tighten one of the bolts in the past year. I highly recommend this cat tree especially for the price. I would definitely buy this again.
