The documentary does a good job of showing the cycle of abuse and how complex an abusive dynamic can be. It's clear MJ traumatized these men and their families. Regardless of what happened (though it's obvious what did), MJ was very weird, controlling, manipulative, and inappropriate with children. This film also highlights how we often hold celebrities to a different moral standard and willfully ignore the red flags. Like, are we doing the same thing with Drake, a celebrity who is beloved but has a reputation regarding underage girls? Something to think about....
