Has nothing to do with trans rights - the murderer is never described with any such language and the fact that people are so mad - despite never having read the book - is ridiculous. The murderer is a cross-dressing psychopath who uses womens clothes to display a non-threatening image to his victims. That is all. If you still have a problem with this, and feel threatened and outraged, perhaps you should not be reading horror and true crime novels.
