The material has a really pleasant matte feel to it and there's a little removable notepad on the inside cover. You can't lay the book open flat though, the pages will force themselves closed. The sticker on the back comes off pretty easily but it leaves a stain. I've included some photos. Please excuse the awkward hand positions, I was eating a Popsicle at the time.
