We love our solar torch lights (aka tiki torches). From a distance, you would think they were actually enclosed tiki torches with real flames - one of our friends asked how often we have to fill them with oil. That is the great thing about them - NEVER. If you know the experience of filling tiki torches, you know what a dirty job it is. We have them around our lower flagstone patio. I look down at them every night before going to bed because it gives me such a relaxed feeling - like being back on the island of Maui. I know the solar power lasts a minimum of 8 hours because I once got up in the middle of the night and they were still going strong. These lights are nearly 43 inches tall whereas I saw other ones that were only about 31 inches tall. Granted, they are plastic but they seem durable. And at night, your eyes are drawn to the flickering fake flame just like the actual flame on a real tiki torch. In this case, fake is good because no danger of fire, no need to refill with oil and no need to light when you want them on. Also, these have an ON/OFF switch in case you don't want them on - we have never turned ours off. I was ambivalent about buying these lights having never seen them in person. Now we are so happy we did. Furthermore, LAMPFUT LTD was excellent to work with when one of the boxes did not have the extra extensions to make the lights 43 inches tall. I received the extra extensions in three days. I was really impressed with their customer service - which seems like a less common experience in today's world. I would definitely buy from them again.
