So first off I think a lot of people giving this product bad reviews is because they are uneducated about sulfate free shampoo. You can't just go from using normal shampoo like Pantene or shampoo that has sulfate in it to these organic sulfate free shampoos. There is a transition period your hair needs to go through first. When first switching your hair may feel oily and like straw it may look terrible and even fall out. That's because in the normal shampoos you are using, the chemicals coat your hair making it appear healthy and shiny. In reality underneath the hair is damaged and being stripped of its natural oils. When you use a product like Maui for the first time there's no chemicals hiding the damage to your hair. So your hair looking so bad after using these products is because that's how your hair really is! Your hair may start falling out because now that your scalp is breathing for the first time it's trying to dump the dead damaged hair to make way for new hair to grow. When making a switch you need to give it a few weeks at least which is not easy because your hair may look like crap. I say may because it depends on what shampoos you were using previously. Other chemical products play a role as well. Organic shampoo does not have all the harsh chemicals in it so it's hard for it to wash chemicals out. So if your using hair gel and spray and whatever else on your hair that has the ingredient silicone in it then washing with a sulfate free shampoo your gona get build up in your hair. So if your new to these types of shampoos you really need to do some research first because they may be an amazing product but you hate it because you are not using it the right way. Most people after they get through the transition period say their hair ever looked so beautiful and they would never go back. That being said I bought this shampoo and conditioner from walmart which was way cheaper than on amazon. Most organic shampoos don't lather well but this one latheres great. It smells great and feels light on my hair. When It Drys my hair is super shiny and bouncy. I am really pleased with this especially for the price. The conditioner I needed to use kind of a lot for my hair cuz it is thick and the conditioner is very thin but I have that problem with most conditioners. I love this shampoo though and highly recommend
