When buying an Omega-3 supplement you want to check how much EPA and DHA is actually provided per serving (EPA and DHA are the beneficial fatty acids you are looking for in Omega-3's). Having the background of someone working in the medical field I recommended Nutrigold to my father who happens to be a heart patient. The amount of Omega-3's(specifically EPA & DHA) provided per capsule for Nutrigold are slighter higher than his prescription strength Lovaza. Nutrigold: 750mg EPA + 250mg DHA vs Lovaza: 475mg EPA + 365mg DHA. As an added bonus they cost much less than the prescription. Don't fall for the gimmicks of the big drug companies who pay the FDA millions to get approval and pass the cost onto the consumer. I would highly recommended this product to anyone looking for a great source of essential Omega-3's. I will follow up this review at a later time with more info with regards to taste and compliance. ______ UPDATE(06/04/2012): I recently visited the IFOS(International Fish Oil Standard) website(Google it). They are an independent lab in Ontario, Canada that tests fish for consistency and heavy metal content. I was unable to find any Nutrigold info on their site. So I emailed Nutrigold support a few days ago to request a copy of the IFOS Certificate from their quality control department(IFOS website suggested this). I received an email this morning with the certificate attached and they even offered to send me an updated certificate when their new batch gets analyzed. The lab results are ecactly in line with what the product claims with complete accuracy in the amount of essential Omega-3s provided. This product is 90% of the stuff your looking for (EPA + DHA) and that is a really good number. I found this info to be very reassuring of my decision to purchase this product.
