Just got this the other day,and didn't really try it out. Bought it for therapeutic use as much as to see how well something that is about 10% of the price of a TENS machine actually works. I've added images of the box as it was received, in addition to the contents and the actual device. I liked the "Thank You" card that they include with the package. I also bought the electrode gel as some reviewers suggested however new in the box, you will not need it at all the pads are very (VERY) sticky and will conduct without using the gel -- however having the gel now will save me hunting them down locally when I do need it. I bought this for use with my arm and upper thigh, and for my wife for her arm, upper thigh and shoulder/neck. So far I've only used this for the arm. As I said the pads are very stick, you will not need gel at all. Using the guide, I placed the pads as well as I could on my upper arm and switched the machine on. I selected the KNEAD function and increased the intensity to 4 bars -- was too much so turned it down to 3 bars which was tolerable. There are several functions available, such as ACU, and TAP. You can also use CUPPING, SCRAPING and RANDOM. When I used it on my wife, she liked CUPPING more -- I don't mind it but liked the KNEAD function as you get short breaks between each "jolt". The LCD is very nice addition as it shows you several pieces of information (see images included). Few complaints that I do have is that there is no way to turn the screen back "on" unless you change the intensity or something else. As I now need to wear glasses for reading, would have been nice to have some way to leave the screen on. Also the buttons are not backlit which again is an issue as I need glasses to read and in the dark I can't see the labels on the buttons -- but these are minor annoyances. Overall the machine works GREAT and given that it's backed with a lifetime warranty -- don't know what else you could ever need. I'm seriously considering purchasing another for my parents, and one more as a backup. I am also looking at some other units on Amazon given their rating just to be able to compare one machine to another -- but so far am very happy with this one.
