The hardware for this camera is edefinitely worth the price, however the software policies are incompatible with the American way of life. The software in this camera imposes a strict policy to require you to give up personal information to DJI, which is based in China. They can disable your use of this device at any time for any reason. You're basically coming under the umbrella of policies devised by a Chinese company. Chinese culture and politics is totally incompatible with ours here in the US. The people in China do not enjoy the same level of freedom and privacy that we enjoy as Americans. They are in effect imposing their values upon the users of their products worldwide. I personally feel that this should be completely illegal under trade agreements. I am hoping that these policies change and this becomes a thing of the past! At the very least, this would make excellent hardware for open-sourcing software.
