Just received this bag today. I am totally thrilled with it's quality. First off, it had NO smell, other than what should be expected for leather. It's cured/tanned in the sun with natural vegetable oil, so it has no volatile oil smell at all. I'm pretty impressed with the heaviness/gauge of the leather, too. It's pretty supple as is, and will no doubt get softer as time allows. The stitching is superb, and the brass fittings/rivets, zippers are all professionally placed and affixed. I don't know who wouldn't be completely satisfied with this bag. $99.00? Come on, this is so worth it. I don't know who this guy is, but he genuinely is trying to provide an artisanal product at an incredible price. It came folded and vacuum sealed in a plastic bag, with a letter of welcome by the maker. This was then placed in a hand-stitched silken drawstring bag made out of (?old sari's?). Dont' know, but it was charming. I will buy more from this guy. P.S. This meets all the new carry-on airline requirements: "Delta Airlines requires that the make-up bag or carry-on luggage must not exceed 45 linear inches, with a maximum size of 22 inches in length, 14 inches in width and 9 inches in height". This bag is 21" x 11" x 9". I think you'll love it.
