OK, as the first review I must say you will love it! I was very worried as there where no reviews yet posted on this product, but I kept coming back to this one as I reviewed others and debated the pros and cons. I wanted a pillow top, and the "bonded leather" caught my eye. First thing, it is vinyl, but a really nice grained, soft, not very sticky vinyl. So if you are OK with this read on! The couch arrived on time, 45 minutes early to boot, the guys delivering it were very friendly and put it in my garage so I could assemble the unit that night. The box was sturdy, and only one corner showed some rub damage, but no holes or tears, great job getting it to me. The next thing was when I unpacked it, the couch was encased in that heavy cardboard box, but inside the couch is wrapped in a white bag, it was in absolutely perfect condition! Set up was ridiculously simple, 4 screws held the front leg assembly on and the back two legs simply screw into the frame, I feel they are very secure. One tip, hand thread all the front screws first then tighten with the wrench, it takes a little wiggling to find the threads, but it is not hard at all, and retighten the screws until they are all tight the same. So I placed the couch in my small (10x10) room and first thing I noticed is that it did not smell bad. Most vinyl furniture has an odor when unpacked, this no had little to almost none after half an hour. The pillow top is very soft and you sink slightly into it when you sit on it, it is a short couch and is comfortable when you sit. The size (length) was perfect as I had a small area in which to fit it, I was pleased by my purchase! That night, my wife started to snore (sorry dear), and I thought "try it out". I had not had a chance to test the lay down yet but the mechanism is strong and clicks like a heavy machine. It lays down perfect and I remembered all the reviews I had read And all the bad points people stated, this couch is firm on the ground and no chance of tipping I found, so I started to enjoy the experience! The pillow top is great to lay on, the crease where the top and bottom meet is almost not noticeable (it will cause me no discomfort), the material was not very sticky (I will buy a top sheet today, but it is a quality material), and my 6'2" body (250lb) body fit perfect, only my front half of my foot hung over the edge and the padding is so soft it gave no pain or discomfort. So I must say if you are considering this type of unit, this is a great one, the frame seams heavy, very little to no flex (no flex in up or down positions), nice covering with good graining in the cover, legs with rubber pads already installed (!), and a completely enclosed click mechanism so your hands can't get caught. A great product and perfect for us!
