Could not put this book down!
Well-researched and written historical account that the schools/universities no longer teach (or at best, just skim over almost as an afterthought). O'Reilly was a history teacher before he went into journalism, and I think that even he himself learned some new information from his research during his process of composing this excellent chapter of AMERICAN history when the Indians were a force to be reckoned with as intelligent, militantly organized and zealous people who were not willing to let their nation get stolen away from them. I couldn't put this book down - a real, old-fashioned, page turner. I found a great respect for the Indians and found myself feeling a little embarrassed how our forefathers treated them in their obsession to take away their land to make it our own.
