Our 4 and 5 year old grandkids were coming for a visit with their parents. We already have a spare room suitable for adults but planned to convert our workout space for the grands. We did some shopping for compact children's bunk beds which would have been fine except for the storage issue when not in use. Then I randomly across these camping bunks. Not only compact and perfectly suited for children (they think they are so cool!) but, by getting the adult size, we can comfortably find extra space for older neicesister, nephews, anyone! All for the price of children's bunk beds with cheap mattresses.One other note. Both our sons are in the military and said they have used these same designs when deployed. My hubs and I napped very comfortably on then the first day we set them up. Oh, we did order the roll up pads to go with the bunks which made them super comfy with great support.
