Know what you are buying
I do not typically write reviews of products, but given this is a newer tool brand, that is advertised on TV I thought I would. Lets face it, 95% of the garbage we see on tv is just that, garbage. When something good comes along, I would like share that as well. It was a sunday afternoon. The kids were down for a nap, as was the wife. There was nothing on except this, and the instant pot (which is another story, but dang, that thing is good too). So I watched it. I have a fairly expensive traditional gas power washer that rarely if ever gets used. Its big, bulky, has a broken seal (yeah i realize thats not a big deal), and the power still isnt what I want). Anyway, the same reasons stated by the host in the hydroshot infomercial. When , If EVER are the reasons you dont use something accurate to the TV show. Ill clue you in... its never... I mean do you really buy 45$ worth of paper towels in a month? HELLO Sh*mwow. So, I went on amazon, took a risk and bought this thing. First off, you have to know what you are getting. Do not expect to peel the skin off of a rhinoceros hide with the hyrdoshot. Simply not happening. Could you split open a finger if you put it on 0 degree spray? sure as heck you can. This thing is not intended to peel paint (by design apparently) or some of the other uses for a big bulky gas powered power washer. What is is intended for, by and large it does it well. I sprayed a couple wasps nests off the house, washed a couple deck pillows that had disgusting bird sh*t on them. I also got some mold off of the kids inflatable bouncy house pool thing (thats another one, go buy it... amazing. Rainforest Rapids by blast zone) , ya know, cuz mold can sorta kill people if left untreated. My windows mostly are too tall to clean with this, but ill try it, and im sure it will do ok. I will powerwash the patio in the back between pavers, and it will be great there. Ill clean the lawn mower (whoa, i just thought about that one. EPIC smile just washed over my face). Bird junk off the swingset? Check. Garage floors? Check. It really is JUST powerful enough for everyday jobs. Yes, I would love it if they could cram 100 more psi in there, but its acceptable and does well at what you need it to do. Again, Know what you are buying. Anyone who owns this thing will tell you, the first time you pick it up you are absolutely surprised by the heft. Its heavy (in a good way). You can tell its well made. It without a doubt feels like a quality tool in your hand, which again goes against what you traditionally get when watching an infomercial. One of my complaints is that I cant get the 1 liter bottle adapter for 6+ weeks (according to worx). I would say my overall biggest complaint is that I dont expect 1 battery to be enough.. Of course I know you can buy more and most jobs wont require more than 1 charge, so thats ok, but id love the option to use one of the bigger batteries worx sells on this tool. From what I understand I cant use the larger sized batteries. Thanks for reading this far folks. I am a pretty picky reviewer who rarely does them. Final thought, know what you are buying. If you go in knowing what ive shared above there is no reason you cant be happy as well.
