Our DVD player died. I was looking into getting a replacement and after many reviews found this unit. There was a lot of information and some of it I understood. Once I hooked it up to our old "not smart" TV, I noticed that I could pick up my streaming abilities from our modem. Once that was made we were able to use the old tv just like any of the new TVs that connect to the internet. we are very happy with this unit and would recommend it for anyone who wants to upgrade their video system without having to purchase the an expensive TV.
