Found out from an Amazon review that Dansko is now made in China, but that Sanita was the original Danish maker. Ordered a pair, which are nearly exact to my old Dansko clogs...fit is great, and the price is significantly less than Dansko. I have a thing about companies that go to China for cheap labor and then continue to ask high prices, or even raise the price (which seems to be happening with Dansko). I've emailed all my nurse friends (MANY!) and recommended that they switch to Sanita: great fit, great value, and it supports European industry. I am naive enough to believe that all of us need to try to stop outsourcing now--keep US and European jobs where they are!
