It's such a small thing but the right shower curtain liner can really affect your overall shower experience. I was using a standard 3g shower liner previously that billowed and stuck to you regardless of the magnets sewn into the bottom. I could also never keep it clean no matter how many times I took it down to scrub and bleach. It would continuously build layers of soapscum and bacterial mold. Imagine the horror of getting into a shower to clean off and being enveloped by a disgusting clear garbage bag of soapscum and germs. This has been one of my top purchases under $10. The 8g is the perfect thickness both in terms of the curtain laying flat (the magnets can actually do their job with the thicker weight!) and in terms of cleaning. All I have to do is a basic wipe down and I'm good. Nothing accumulating or growing on either side of the plastic. I also appreciate the off-gassing was minimal enough to not even notice a scent when the package was first opened and the curtain hung up.
